Committee Chairs
We’re looking for committee chairs for the following committees (two each). If you’re interested, please fill out this Google Form.
Communications Committee
This committee is responsible for the extensive communication requirements around the conference. This includes sending emails to potential participants and sponsors, sharing conference news with the email group, posting on social media channels, and updating the conference web page. It may also include design work for printed or electronic materials.
Logistics Committee
This committee is responsible for logistics relating to local arrangements, travel information, hotel blocks, catering, poster displays, etc. Being local to the conference is not required but would be a plus.
Technical Program Committee
This committee is responsible for the implementation of the overall technical program, including creating an EasyChair instance for submissions, writing submission guidelines and monitoring the submission process, selecting reviewers, assigning reviewers to the submissions, and working with logistics to schedule technical sessions.
Publications Committee
This committee is responsible for making the submissions in the right format available in open-access proceedings, determining whether to have a journal special issue, and arranging for this issue.
Student Program Committee
This committee is responsible for planning and organizing a student-focused program for the conference. In past years, this has involved things like a mentor matching program at the conference, resume clinic, or special lunch sessions for students, but the format and content of the program will really be up to you!
Conference Experience Committee
This committee is responsible for facilitating a conference environment where everyone feels welcome. Exact specifics are up to you, but we’d like to see events or programs that encourage participants to build connections and feel comfortable. This may include working with logistics to organize a quiet room, game tables, dinner groups, intro sessions for first-time attendees, or anything else you think would improve the conference experience. Creativity welcome!
Sponsorship Committee
This committee is responsible for recruiting and communicating with conference sponsors. This includes sending contracts, gathering payments, managing sponsorship perks, and keeping track of communications and outreach. If you have great contacts in industry or great record-keeping and communication skills, you could be a big help to this committee.
