October 2026 Community Call

Our October Community Call will be focused on gearing up to attend USRSE’26! Hear from some of this year’s conference planning committee on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 2pm ET / 1pm CT / 12pm MT / 11am PT.

USRSE’26 is being held in San Jose, CA, October 19-21 this year! In this month’s community call, we want to talk about what to look forward to at the conference and more! New this year, the conference will offer a job fair, a great opportunity to connect with organizations hiring RSEs! Whether you are a student, early career RSE, or just thinking about your next move, this month’s community call is here to help you put your best foot forward. We will have special breakout rooms where you can get your resume reviewed by US-RSE community members and get tips on how to make the most of the event. Come with a draft resume for screen share (or just come to listen and ask questions) and let’s get you ready to make a great first impression.

We’ll also have a breakout room for more general information for those attending or considering attending USRSE’26 and want to hear more about the conference and/or get your questions answered.

Registration details

Information on how to register for the Zoom meeting will be sent via email and posted in the #general channel on Slack. The registration link can also be found in the pinned messages and channel description of the #communitycalls channel on Slack.

The typical structure of a community call starts with an overview of recent US-RSE updates, followed by short presentations. After the presentations we will break out into smaller groups in which we discuss the call topic. Everyone is welcome to join the discussion or just hang back and listen in. If you prefer just to listen in, that is perfectly fine, but we encourage you to share your opinions and thoughts as you feel comfortable. If you want to switch to another group, this is also fine.
